Campsites on the Cote d'Azur
Mediterranean camping in the South of France
The Cote d'Azur enjoys hot summers with average temperatures around 25-30 degrees celsius throughout June, July and August. The dry and warm Mediterranean climate is ideal for camping in the South of France.
From sandy beaches to rolling vineyards and rocky mountain peaks, the South of France has an extraordinary landscape that will suit everyone. The more adventurous campers among you can sample the delights of skiing, sledging and alpine hiking, whilst those looking for a more sedate campsite break can enjoy leisurely days by the pool.
The fashionable resorts of the French Riviera including St Tropez, St Maxime and Cannes on the Cote d’Azur attract huge numbers of summer tourists - including many to our campsite ‘Camping Le Pansard’:
What does a stay on the Cote d’Azure offer?
The Riviera Style
A camping holiday on the Cote d'Azur offers the chance to rub shoulders with celebrities in the chic resorts of St. Tropez and Cannes, whilst enjoying the classic benefits of pools, children's activities, and evening entertainment of a self-catering campsite holiday.
Eat Like a Local
Cuisine in the South of France is dominated by Provencal dishes, characterised by the use of aromatic herbs, olive oil and lots of seafood. Each town in the region has a specific dish, for example in Avignon it’s mussels and garlic, in Marseille it’s Bouillabaisse and in the Camargue everyone enjoys red rice. Whichever you try (perhaps them all!), our campsite provides the perfect base for culinary exploration.
Enjoying the Area
There is more to the South of France than superb beaches and seafood. Our Campsites in the Provence, which neighbours the Cote d'Azur, are close to magnificent examples of Roman architecture, including the Roman Amphitheatre in Nimes and the Pont du Gard, an aqueduct built in the 1st Century AD.
Other attractions include Cathar castles, with the finest example in Foix. For a fun family day out away from the campsite, Aqualand has a choice of water park locations at St. Cyprien, Port Leucate and Cap d’Agde.
Getting to the Cote d'Azur
The quickest route from the UK and Ireland to the Cote d'Azur and our campsite there, is via the international airport at Nice. There are also daily flights from UK airports to Marseilles and Nimes. Self-drive is also a viable, if slower, option via the channel ports, with an overnight stop en route adding to the holiday experience.
Go camping on the Cote d’Azur in style
For mobile home holidays on the Cote d’Azur, we think there’s nowhere better than Le Pansard - our well-equipped campsite.
What’s more, choosing a camping trip over, say, a holiday cottage will save you hundreds - particularly with the elevated prices of France’s most popular holiday region. But you needn’t sacrifice your comfort to do so, our static mobile homes come fitted with all the mod cons you would expect as standard and provided a perfect, value-for-money option.
Whether you’ve stayed at Le Pansard a hundred times or you’re considering your first ever camping trip, you can be sure of a warm welcome.
