The Weather

Portugal has a mild Mediterranean climate which includes hot, dry summers and mild winters. The climate does vary slightly throughout the country with especially hot summers being normal inland. The Algarve has the most attractive year round climate; summers are cooled by a sea breeze and winters usually remain above 15 degrees.

Getting Around

Towns and cities in Portugal are connected by the national rail network that provides transportation on major routes. For smaller towns and villages, the national coach network, Rodoviária Nacional provides an affordable and comfortable service.
