Christmas market Alkmaar

Every year in December, Alkmaar is transformed into a true winter wonderland: a living nativity scene complete with animals you can pet, cosy stalls with Christmas presents and winter snacks such as poffertjes create a fairytale setting. Besides the Christmas performances, there is a special area for children where various workshops are offered, such as painting Christmas balls or making elves. The highlight? Father Christmas is coming to visit.

Stroll past the lovingly designed market stalls, enjoy a cup of mulled wine or hot chocolate while being musically entertained by singing Santa.
