Who, what, where, when
From your garden you can look out over the rippling water. Everything here at EuroParcs IJsselmeer (former bungalow park Zuiderzee) in Medemblik is all about water and exciting activities. Hire a boat at the park or throw out your fishing rod from your own jetty. And did we mention that Medemblik is a very picturesque place?
Medemblik and water are inextricably linked. Its unique location makes Medemblik popular with tourists. Water sports enthusiasts from all over the world come here for sailing and (kite) surfing. EuroParcs IJsselmeer is also the right place for a relaxed day out. Lay down your towel on the sandy beach on the other side of the dike, slide down the slide in the pool or throw out your fishing rod. And what could be more fun than exploring the area from the water? At the park you can rent a motorboat or sloop. Just outside the holiday park is Golfcourse de Vlietlanden where you can play some game of golf. Nice to know: the houses at EuroParcs IJsselmeer are built on islands. All homes are located on the water!
In various cities around EuroParcs IJsselmeer you take step back in time. Stroll through picturesque Medemblik, where characteristic facades and old houses adorn the narrow streets. Imagine yourself in the Middle Ages in Radboud Castle, learn (and taste!) everything about beer in the Radboud city brewery. Enkhuizen also breathes the atmosphere of the Golden Age and has beautiful monumental buildings, defense works and the Zuiderzee Museum. Other cities worth visiting are the cheese city of Alkmaar and lively Hoorn, where you can marvel at the monumental buildings and beautiful canals. Did you know that the famous skipper and merchant Bontekoe was born in Hoorn?

No, this is not possible. If you hire the boat for several days, you must dock it at our boat shed and return the key to reception at the agreed time. This can be found in the confirmation e-mail and enclosed rental agreement. You can collect the key from reception the next morning.
Yes, you may fish at your accommodation without a fishing pass with a maximum of 2 fishing rods per person. Caught fish must be returned to the water. Your dog is welcome at our park. You can filter on 'pets allowed' when making your booking. All available accommodation where pets are welcome will then be displayed. It is compulsory to keep your dog on a leash at the park. We have several bins with dog waste bags.
Next to the park, crossing the dyke, is the nature reserve De Vooroever. This is a great place to walk your dog. In some parts of this nature reserve, your dog can run free. You can follow the signs for this. De Vooroever has several beaches, a beach bar and various walking and cycling paths. Dogs must be kept on a lead on the beach.
