Christmas market Haarlem

One of the biggest Christmas markets in the Netherlands is the one in Haarlem. The North Holland capital is the Christmas Valhalla of the year for one weekend in December, with the big Christmas market criss-crossing the city centre. The market is on the Grote Markt but also on the Botermarkt and other shopping streets. The Christmas market counts up to 350 stalls with all kinds of trinkets, food and drinks. A Dickens Orchestra will also walk through the city centre and choirs will perform at various monumental locations. The old city centre with its beautifully decorated buildings and facades will give you that extra cosy feeling. Take a seat at one of the city's restaurants or enjoy a hot chocolate or mulled wine on the Grote Markt.
