Millennium-Express cable car
9:00 - 16:30
The Millennium-Express in Tröpolach is one of the longest cable cars in Europe and the primary gateway to the Nassfeld ski and hiking resort. Operating in three sections, this modern 15-passenger gondola whisks guests from the valley station up to the Madritsche summit (1,919 m) in just 17 minutes, covering a distance of around 6 kilometers. The ride offers spectacular panoramic views of the Gailtal valley and the surrounding peaks. Numerous highlights await at the intermediate stations (such as the Tressdorfer Alm) and the mountain station, including the "Pendolino" summer toboggan run, the Rock Labyrinth climbing park, the family-friendly "Aquatrail", and the starting point for extensive alpine hikes. Riding the cable car (ascent and descent) is completely FREE of charge for holders of the local "+CARD holiday". The gondola provides comfortable, barrier-free, and weather-protected transportation for hikers, families, and mountain bikers (Nassfeld Bikepark) in the summer, as well as skiers in the winter. No advance registration is required for standard lift rides, though seasonal operating hours apply.
