As soon as night falls, t Zuiderzeedorp takes on a completely different atmosphere. From 10 to 25 October, you can experience a fair just like in the old days with your children or grandchildren, complete with historic rides and games. Step onto the swan swing ride, soar to new heights on the aerial swing, or take a spin on the nostalgic carousel. All fairground attractions are included with a museum visit. This way, you can enjoy a full day out packed with history, fun and conviviality. A fair from days gone by, fun for today. Music, rides and the scent of toffee floss and popcorn create a festive atmosphere. The rides date back to the 1920s, but still provide fun for young and old alike. Experience together what a fair used to be like. Challenge each other. In the games café at Koffiehuis Hoorn, you can play life-size games from days gone by. Go head-to-head with each other at Ludo, dominoes, Connect Four or the West Frisian game Keezenspel. Great fun for children, parents and grandparents alike. On Saturdays 17 and 24 October, hundreds of storm lanterns will light up the streets and cottages. Enjoy the traditional Dutch fair, atmospheric music, a participatory circus and surprising entertainment during a special evening for young and old alike. As soon as night falls, t Zuiderzeedorp takes on a completely different atmosphere. Stroll through the illuminated streets, listen to organist Klaas Boonstra in Urk, bump into the travelling organ grinder along the way, or take a trip on the kloeter. Funfair and circus fun Sway, swing and spin along at the beautifully lit Old Dutch funfair. And this year, you can take to the ring yourself! During the Open Circus Ring, you can try your hand at various circus skills, from juggling and diabolo to tightrope walking and unicycling. On 17 October, therell also be a nostalgic flea theatre. Marvel at the miniature spectacle in which fleas drive around in tiny cars, jump off a diving board and are even fired from a cannon. A spectacular finale Be sure to stay until the very end, as the evening will conclude with a spectacular flyboard show on the water this year with a real fairground atmosphere!
