Nassfeld

In the summer, the huge Nassfeld ski area changes into a beautiful green mountain landscape where there is a lot to experience. For example, you can whiz down the Pendolino, the longest summer toboggan run in Carinthia. The Weissensee is extremely popular during summer. That's no surprise: it is the cleanest lake in Carinthia and there are countless water recreation options, such as diving courses and water skiing lessons. You can also rent a motorboat there. Burg Landskron

The castle ruins of Landskron are located at an altitude of 660 meters and visiting them can be a nice outing for the whole family. In addition to the interesting history dating back to 1351, you will discover a gastronomic restaurant and a fun children's program with a puzzle rally. At castle ruins Landkron you can admire eagles during the impressive birds of prey show. The Affenberg, which is located next to the castle, is the largest open-air monkey enclosure in Austria with no fewer than 160 monkeys!

Over the past millennia, the Garnitzenbach stream has carved its way into the rocks of the Carnic Alps, slowly but surely creating a breathtaking natural landscape: cascading waterfalls, green bays and beautiful rock formations are the result of this process. Skiing area Nassfeld

With more than 110 kilometers of slopes, Nassfeld is the largest ski area in Carinthia. The cable car takes you to an altitude of 1300 meters in just 20 minutes! On the way to the top, enjoy breathtaking, panoramic views of the Julian Alps, the Italian Mangart and the ski area. Not only the skiers, but also the snowboarders can enjoy themselves here all day long with kickers, boxers and rails for all skill levels.

Weissensee

In winter, the Weissensee turns into the largest natural ice skating rink in Europe. For skaters and ice hockey players, this is more than paradise, with 25 kilometers of well-maintained ice rinks. Christmas market Klagenfurt

The Christkindlmarkt on Neuer Platz in the Carinthian capital Klagenfurt is without a doubt the most beautiful Christmas market in Austria. A visit to this city is therefore worthwhile!

Around Christmas, visitors from far and wide come to the Christmas market for the Christmas crafts, modern and traditional gifts and to taste typical Carinthian delicacies. The highlight is a Christmas boat trip on the Wörthersee, which takes you to the Christmas markets of Pörtschach, Velden and the Pyramidenkogel. And do you like classical as well as international Christmas carols? At the 'Silent Advent' concert, Carinthian choirs perform winter and Christmas songs.

Ski area Weissbriach

The ski resort Weissbriach is perfect for families because there are no crowded slopes here. With its 5 kilometers of pistes ranging from easy to moderately difficult, Weissbriach is a small but fine ski area that is particularly suitable for beginners.

A practice area with a magic carpet lift is available, a ski school and ski rental and a floodlit toboggan run. The EuroParcs Hermagor Nassfeld and Pressegger See are only 15-20 minutes away by car. The ski bus also takes you from the Nassfeld ski resort to Weissbriach in a very short time.

There are other nice activities as well: 30 km of cross-country ski trails, winter hiking trails and an indoor pool for swimming after a successful day of skiing.
