Visit National Park De Hoge Veluwe, will you spot all the animals of the Big Five?
During the (school) holidays, our park offers the coolest entertainment activities for all ages with our Fun Heroes and Fun Crew. The Fun Heroes are travelling entertainment teams and the Fun Crew are our own permanent entertainment team at the park. So during your holiday with us, you have a permanent member, which is really nice! The teams organise sporting activities as well as great shows and creative craft activities. In addition, there are also separate events to participate in at our park. Curious about the park's current programme? Check it out via the EuroParcs app or via the button below.
Who, what, where, when
EuroParcs De Zanding is located in one of the most beautiful places in the Netherlands, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Veluwe. You can walk to the Veluwe village of Otterlo and you'll be completely surrounded by vast nature reserves. A wonderful place to relax and spend your holiday!
From EuroParcs De Zanding the vast moors and Veluwe forests of the Hoge Veluwe National Park are literally around the corner. So get on your bike or put on your walking shoes to explore this special nature reserve. The Hoge Veluwe National Park is not only the largest national park in the Netherlands, in the middle of the park is also the Kröller-Müller Museum with the second largest Van Gogh collection in the world! Immense sand drifts await you in Kootwijkerzand, known as 'the Sahara of the Low Countries'. Just like Radio Kootwijk, a striking building that adorns the horizon which served as a transmission tower over a century ago.
There is also plenty to do in the area for children. EuroParcs De Zanding is located near Apeldoorn where you can feel like a prince or princess in Paleis Het Loo, watch the monkeys in the Apenheul or experience an adventurous day in Julianatoren Amusement Park. For vintage shops and boutiques, a visit to the beautiful city of Arnhem is recommended. Grab a bite to eat at the Rijnkade, have a picnic in Park Sonsbeek or visit one of the city's museums, such as the Open Air Museum and the Arnhem War Museum. In good or bad weather, at Burgers' Zoo in Arnhem you alternate between a tropical rainforest, a blistering desert and a colorful underwater world.
