Where to go on holiday in July?

Of course, July is one thing above all: bathing season! What could be nicer than spending your summer holiday in a holiday home by the water? Our holiday parks by the sea are particularly popular in July, but the holiday parks by the lake are also ideal for a summer full of swimming fun.

In Austria, three of our holiday parks are located directly on the lake, surrounded by the Carinthian Alps and therefore offer a perfect starting point for a summer holiday in the mountains. Here you will find the perfect balance between sports, hiking and relaxation in the mountains and a refreshing jump into the water.

The Veluwemeer is a big lake in the Netherlands between the provinces of Flevoland and North-Veluwe. The area is a true paradise for water sports enthusiasts and, thanks to the moderate depth of the water, is also ideal for holidays with children. Many holiday parks are located right on the water with a view of the Veluwemeer so you can enjoy the fantastic view directly from the terrace every morning.

But you can also experience wonderful beach holidays in Belgium in July. EuroParcs Zilverstrand in the Belgian province of Antwerp has its own swimming lake with a sandy beach directly in the centre of the holiday park.

Events in July in the Netherlands

There are two wonderful sporting events in July with very similar names that are always worth a visit. Even if you don't take part, you can still have a wonderful time as a spectator.

The 4Daagse marches in Nijmegen

The largest walking event in the world, the 4Daagse marches, will take place from July 12th to 18th with over 45,000 participants. EuroParcs De Kraaijenbergse Plassen is only half an hour's drive from Nijmegen city center.

Fiets4Daagse in Drenthe

In 2025, the largest cycling event in the Netherlands will take place from July 17th to 20th, with four starting points in the province of Drenthe. The starting points are in Diever, Meppel, Westerbork and Dalen. These holiday parks are near Fiets4Daagse:

• EuroParcs Ruinen (approx. 20-30 minutes by car depending on the starting point)
• EuroParcs Reestervallei (approx. 17 minutes by car to Meppel)
