Privacy statement and cookie policy

When you use EuroParcs’ services, we need to record some of your personal data. It is our policy to handle your personal data with the utmost care and transparency. With this privacy statement, we want to let you know our purposes and methods of processing your personal data. This privacy statement applies to all personal data that we process when you make a booking with us, use our services or visit our website, or when we have contact with you.

This privacy statement was last updated on 24-1-2024 and supersedes all previous versions of this privacy statement.

Who are we?

EuroParcs is a traditional Dutch family business with offices in Amersfoort. Our core business is developing holiday parks, selling holiday homes to private individuals and business investors, and renting these homes to private and business guests.

We offer a range of holiday parks in the most beautiful locations: in the midst of nature, in the forest, in the mountains, on the water and close to bustling cities.

What data do we collect from you and why?

We mainly process your personal data to give you a perfect holiday. We want to build a lasting relationship with you so that we can continue to serve you in the future and make offers based on your interests or booking history.

When making a booking for holiday accommodation

When you make a booking for any accommodation we offer, we collect the data necessary to make the accommodation available to you by default. We offer the accommodation for rent ourselves, but it is also offered by our partners such as Bungalows.nl, Bungalowspecials.nl, Voordeeluitjes.nl, Airbnb, Booking.com, Heerlijkehuisjes.com, Belvilla, etc.

Booking data

Booking data is data concerning the holiday you have booked with us: which park you have booked at, type of accommodation, arrival date, departure date, travel party (number of people, age category and/or pets) and preferences (which house number, extras to be booked such as breakfast package or towel package). In order to complete your booking, we record this information in our reservation system.

Name and address data

We need your name and address data to record your booking in our reservation system and for registration in the mandatory night register*, but also, for example, to comply with the obligation to file a tourist tax return. If we cannot send you certain items by email, we will send them by post to the address you have specified.

*The following details are included in the night register: your name, arrival and departure date, accommodation number and possibly number plate (for access).

Phone number and email address

You will receive confirmation of your booking at the email address you have provided, as well as other information about the park, your stay and the surrounding area. If EuroParcs has any questions relating to your stay, we will contact you by phone.

Date of birth

Bookings can only be made by people over the age of 18. Entering your date of birth enables us to check whether you are eligible to make a booking.

Bank account number

You can pay for your booking via iDeal, credit card (Visa/Mastercard), Bancontact or bank transfer.

If you pay with a credit card, your data will be forwarded to the financial institution that processes the payment. EuroParcs does not have access to your credit card details but we can see that you have paid with a credit card.

My EuroParcs After you have booked a holiday with us, you can activate a personal ‘My EuroParcs’ account. Here you can view the booking details, make payments and make any changes to the booking. You can also book extras here, such as children’s furniture, extra linen packages, towel packages, kitchen towel packages, beds made on arrival, food boxes, or extra people and/or pets.

EuroParcs app

You can download the EuroParcs app for free from the App Store/Play Store. You can log in here with your ‘My EuroParcs’ account to view, change or add extras to the booking.

You will also find all the information about the holiday park in the app. Check the opening hours, park facilities, organised activities, tips for the area, general information about the park such as the park rules, park map, etc. You will also be first to know updates on the park via push notifications.

Camera surveillance

Security cameras have been installed in a number of places at our parks for the safety of our guests, employees and property. This is indicated by the signs with camera surveillance and monitoring.

For you to access the park, we may ask for your number plate, for example to automatically open the barrier, but also to know who is in the park in case an incident occurs.

Photos/videos

Our parks may host activities at which we take photos and/or videos of you or your children for use on our websites, social media (such as Facebook) or in printed material. We will always ask for your permission in advance.

Contact with our employees

Our customer service will be happy to help if you have a question about your booking or stay.

We offer various contact options. You can find them at europarcs.nl/contact-en-vragen.

If you contact us via the contact form on the website, your title, name, contact details and question or comment will be recorded. When you ask a question via social media (Facebook, Instagram), your account name and the content of the conversation will be recorded. The same applies if you send us a message by email. We need to record the data in order to communicate with you. Moreover, this enables us to answer your question quickly and efficiently and to search for your data.

There is no charge for exercising your rights, unless your request is unfounded or excessive. In that case, we may ask you for a reasonable fee or reject your request. We may need to request further information to confirm your identity before we can fulfil your request. This is a security measure to ensure that your personal data is not disclosed to unauthorised persons.

If you wish to exercise any of the above rights, please contact us. We aim to respond within 4 weeks. If we are unable to do so due to the complexity of the request, we reserve the right to extend the period by two months and will inform you of this.
